 Invisi-tapes are seamless hair extensions that are invisible when applied. Sashlabelle Hand Tied Skin Weft invisible hair extensions are unbelievably realistic and provide a natural, undetectable transformation for fuller, voluminous hair. They are made of a thin 4 cm polyurethane silicone base that attach to your skin or a section of natural hair, close to the scalp. They are highly recommended for individuals with thin hair who cannot hold the normal tape-in hair extensions. PU skin weft hair extensions are the new inventions to hit the hair extension market. The wefts offer a seamless blend that sit flat across the head. These injected Skin weft tape-in extensions come either cut into normal size tapes or on large wefts all totaling up-to 100g.

What are Invisible Tape ins extensions?

"Invisi Tapes use the same hair as our Remy hair and are installed just like a regular tape in extension.

What makes Invisi Tapes so special is that the very top of the weft is actually made from a monomesh filament with hair being pushed out of this mesh and being hand-knotted on the other side.

What does this mean for you and your installation? Basically, once these extensions are installed they practically vanish and blend in so well it really just looks as if the hair is growing out of your own scalp. That is the amazing thing about our Invisi Tapes - anyone can wear them and they won't show through!"

Are these Real Hair?

Our hair is 100% ethically sourced remy human hair. All of our extensions have the cuticles intact and are double drawn. We source our REMY hair in India and when this hair is washed and allowed to air dry you will see that it has a gentle body wave texture. Our Remy hair holds curl magnificently and can easily be styled for any look desired.

Will Invisi-tapes hair damage my hair?

"No! With professional installation, tape ins do not cause harm. In fact, many customers feel that the wefts protect their own hair and allow for a healthier regrowth period.

Tape Ins should only be installed by a licensed professional. While tape ins are great for most people if you have a medical condition with your scalp or epidermis please evaluate all precautions with your medical professional."

Do I need to wash my hair frequently with Invisi-tapes?

"You can - however we do not recommend everyday washing when invisi-tapes are installed on the head. Ask any professional hairstylist and they will universally agree that no one should be washing their hair every day anyway! Washing daily will shorten the lifespan of the installation and the hair itself. Each wash is stripping moisture from the hair (yours and the extensions) and the constant exposure to water will shorten the lifespan of the adhesive in the tape.

When first installed - you must wait 48-72 hours post installation to allow the bonds to fully seal. After this waiting period, you can wash as normal.

Remember to try and keep conditioner or emollients off the tape tabs themselves, and to deeply moisturize your extensions weekly to keep them as healthy as possible for as long as possible."

Can I heat style the Invisi-tape-ins?

"You can heat style as often as you would heat style your own hair. Sashlabelle Hair Extensions use 100% ethically sourced real human hair and as such all of our extensions will behave as real human hair. We suggest always using a thermal protectant and a mild heat setting.

Just remember heat styling constantly will eventually negatively impact the disulfide bonds of the hair - leading to them being permanently broken and with you having heat damaged hair and extensions!

How long will the Invisi-tapes last?

"Individual installations can last anywhere from 8-12 weeks, given the care provided and what kind of hair you have.

Factors such as the sebum production rate of your scalp and the rate of growth for your own hair will cause a shorter installation period.

With proper care, the extensions can be reused for up to 3 reinstallations or a little under a full year of wear. Some clients can use their extensions for a full year or longer - it all depends on what activities and preventative measures are used."

Can I re-install Invisible tape -ins?

Yes.

"Removal and reinstallation should be done by licensed professionals only.

The basic flow of a reinstall is:
Remove all tape ins from the head.
Remove all adhesive and residue from each individual wefts.
Wash and clarify each weft.
Allow to air dry overnight or blow dry.
Reapply Ultra Hold Replacement Tape Tabs.
Reinstall! "

Can I color my Invisi-tape-ins?

"Yes, you can! Because our hair is 100% human hair all collections can be dyed. Just note that you should only use semi or demi-permanent hair dye on the hair itself. It is not recommended to saturate the top of the weft in chemical dye as it can negatively impact the main PU component. You should never ever lift the color, only deposit it. You want to keep the hair healthy. Color darker, never lighter.

Kindly note that chemically altering the extensions does void the warranty on the product."

Should you be looking to add a small amount of length through sparse areas to fill in the gaps or add a touch of volume for fine-haired guests, then we would recommend 20 Pieces or 1 pack of invisible skin weft tape-ins.

If it’s thickness and volume with the added benefit of length you’re after, we would recommend 40 Pieces - 2 packs of injected invisible tape in extensions (our most popular amount) - recommended by sashlabelle experts

How to Apply Invisible Skin Weft Tape in Hair Extensions

 Step 1: Section Your Hair

You should wash your natural hair before starting to deal with the hair. Your injected skin weft tape-in extensions would blend naturally with tresses. Just take a normal shampooing and drying process as you do every day.

Step 2: Apply Your Skin Weft

It’s time to attach your weft, start from the bottom of your hair and work your way up. 

Apply the skin weft to the bottom of the extensions under the hair parts that you have sectioned in the first step. Lift the hair strands up and place the tapes in. Remove the strips that cover the adhesive glue then press it to make it stick to your skin on a naturally parted hair.

Next, you can deal with the top extensions. After removing the strips, stick the top hair extensions onto the hair strands to form a sandwich with the sectioned hair and the bottom extensions. Press them and keep for a few seconds to secure them.

Step 3: Repeat The Process

The last step on how to apply skin weft hair extensions is to keep doing the process above until all skin weft tape extensions have been attached to your bio hair. The number of tape-ins relies on your scalp size. In fact, you will need around 5 rows of weave or more, depending on how much volume you would like to add to your real hair.

The life of skin wefts depends on how you care for them. However, if the hair near the tapes is badly damaged, you have to get a new pack of hair. It’s never a waste of money as it would bring about a seamless hair look.
