Hair Boiling technique
Have you noticed your extensions drying and frizzing more often than normal?
Let us take a peak at the way these hairs are made to shine.
Hair extensions are usually formulated with a film to coat and seal the hair shaft while offering outstanding UV Protection. That way you can spend less time doing battle with your hair and more time having fun in the sun! Enriched with Jojoba and designed to eliminate tangling and lock in moisture, the film guarantees less damage caused by daily life in the urban jungle.
When you frequently wash your extensions, this film wears off. It gets even off when frequent heat is applied and no proper care tips are put in place to ensure a long lasting effect to your extensions.
Now this brings us back to boiling!!!
The only time and reason why you should consider this technique, is when the damage has been done, and you was to salvage the remnants!!
Step 1
DO NOT COMB HAIR WHEN TANGLED - Boil it gently first
- Add 1tsp Vinegar to 1 Liter of water.
- Bring to boil and then remove from fire
- Dip in your extensions (uncombed) and let soak for 15 minutes
- NOTICE THE COLOR...Yes, we want to take off any debri including the worn off film, and to expose those shafts for refill and better beginnings
Step 2
- Shampoo your extensions in cold water and Rinse thoroughly
- Add a cheap conditioner or apply (moisturizing mask) as indicated above, keep in a dryer or enclosed bag for 10 minutes
- Rinse well
Step 3
Apply the silicone coat film, gently comb from roots to shaft as shown below.
